USA Today: Curry masters higher
USA Today: Curry masters higher educationMichael Curry's hopes of advancing to the NBA Finals and fulfilling one of his lifelong goals ended Tuesday when Detroit was eliminated from the playoffs. But Curry will fulfill another of his goals Saturday when he participates in graduation exercises at Virginia Commonwealth University and receives a master's degree in sports leadership. Virginia Commonwealth's sports leadership course is a two-year, 36-hour distance learning program. Curry, who maintained a 3.8 grade-point average, completed most of his work over the Internet, but he also was required to attend on-campus seminars the past two summers.
