Technology Source: Using a Web-Based Course Management Tool to Support Face-to-Face InstructionWhile clearly advantageous, the above instructional strategies and activities are often realized at considerable cost in terms of faculty time and effort as well as institutional resources, a situation exacerbated by the absence of guidelines for integrating WBI and F2F instruction. This article discusses the challenges facing faculty and students when interfacing between the two delivery contexts and provides general guidelines for using a Web-based course management tool to support F2F instruction.
