Learning Bites: Cultural adaptation - a necessity for e-learningDespite e-learning's promise of global, scalable business benefits, it appears that the spread of e-learning around the world is patchy. We know from experience that learning activities must adapt to different cultures, yet there is little evidence that the current producers of e-learning are taking this into account. We examine current best practice and suggest that e-learning will only fulfil its promise if it truly embraces cultural adaptation.
