Darwin Magazine: Is P2P Anything?At the geek level, all the fanatical discussions and fevered denunciations don't much matter because it is genuinely just a matter of terminology; nothing changes as a result of the dispute except what label to use. Out in the market, however, it's too late to stipulate a definition or even to derive one socratically. P2P has already been defined. In the market, "P2P" means, roughly, "It connects me to other people but not through my browser." End of story.
