Building an effective web presence in a large organisation
A thought-provoking article on managing the web presence of the BBC. I like the section on balancing user requirements with strategic business requirements. From my recent experience with corporate website redesigns I find that managing the brand presence on the web is among the most important strategic requirements. Balancing these different requirements is a huge challenge requiring a tremendous amount of experimenting to find out what works and what does not.
